Wedding Photographer in Bermondsey
Wedding Photographer at St Mary’s Church in Bermondsey
It was a total pleasure to be invited to photograph the wonderful wedding of Belinda and Hedley. Their Church wedding was at the St Mary’s Church in Bermondsey. It was our first visit to St Mary’s Church and a complete joy to shoot a wedding at. Travellers through Bermondsey all know St Mary’s Church as a landmark – by road, rail and from the air, the dragon on the steeple rides calmly amid the tower blocks and acres of housing estates.
Our bride and groom decided to have us from church, so that is where we met Hedley first, then their guest and lastly Belinda and her girls. I loved some of the shoots that I’ve included in the blog of Belinda arriving at the Church with her girls. They had a lovely church ceremony with a few readings. After the ceremony, as usual, there was a group photo taken on the stairs at the front of the Church and a few family photographs taken. We had just a short time after the ceremony for a bride and groom portraits along the river Thames. The city backdrop was lovey for some photographs.
Wedding breakfast at Golf Club in Wimbledon
After the church ceremony, all the guest headed straight to the Golf Club in Wimbledon which was their wedding venue. Once we reached The Golf Club we all were very fortunate with the weather, so the sunshine was much appreciated. Before the wedding breakfast, we took some more photographs of the family and friends. After the wedding breakfast, speeches followed then cake cutting then first dance. The first dance of the couple lasted a few seconds only as all guest joined nearly instantly. There were a great fun and energy amongst the guest through the evening.
What a great day it was and so lovely to be part of something so special. Here are just a few of my favourite photos from their wedding day.
