Engagement session in Hertfordshire
Engagement session in Hertfordshire
Engagement session in Hitchin lavender fields with Clara and Clem was more than I expected. It was a morning full of great fun and laughter in lavender, wheat and sunflower fields. What a great experience that was.
Clara & Clem chose Hitchin Lavender, Hertfordshire for their engagement session. I was really delighted to photograph them there. We have not had the best summer so far, but luckily on the morning of their engagement session, it was sunny with a little drizzle. Once I arrived and safely parked my car (it was very muddy) rain stopped and the sun came out. It was a gorgeous morning at Hitchin lavender field, just perfect for an engagement session. It was the summer holiday, so meeting early in the morning was the best option for their engagement session as it was not that busy.
The beauty of lavender fields
Playing around amongst the rows of strong scented purple lavender flowers, wheat fields and sunflowers was a joy. Clara brought some props with them and both being doctors it only made sense to take a cheeky shot with stethoscope which I thought was very cute! After some fun at the farm, we went to the Offley place hotel nearby where they planned to spend a weekend to take some more pictures. It is such a beautiful little hotel with great grounds, lovely backdrops, stunning interior, perfect for photography.
They were truly fantastic on the day, open to any ideas and recommendations I came up with on the day. I really had a blast with them and I cannot wait to shoot their wedding next month! Here are some of my favourites of the day!
